Boys Day Out at the Golf Course

Well its 2010, Internet is fast taking on the entire world or i must say the entire world is already made Internet their Matey's. Gone are those days when diary entries were in vogue. Move over bygones - in this age of technology website entries should be the phenomenon. So here i go posting my first blog ever and nothing more special than being associated with Sports. It is like an adrenaline rush for me. A high that no other substance can give.

Boys Day Out at the Golf Course

It all started when Tarav (Right) rang me up around 10 A.M. He said "Come on Lazy Bones get up, let me make a Tiger out of you" to which i rhetorically replied " The idea of playing Golf is fine but I don't wanna be a Tiger i wanna be a Lion". The reason being Tiger Woods screwed up big time with his wife with his infidelity swings. I would never do that to the girl i love. I rather take swings at the Golf Course than at Swinger parties.

So Tarav whimsically replies " Ok so ill make a Lion out of you at the Golf Course". But hey guys there was another lion missing.

That was Mr. Eddie. The 6 feet 4 inches Tall Ogre . So i buzzed him and he was more than happy to join us.

So the trio headed to the Qutab Golf Course. Tarav mentioned that today's menu would be the DRIVING RANGE. Well i did have a fair idea about Golf. As a teenager i used to accompany Tarav to the Golf Course when he used to play 18 Holes. Tarav has always brought out the sportsman in me. So kudos to you buddy.

Getting back to Golf. We guys hit the driving range with so much of enthusiasm. But the basics of the game had to be downloaded to us before we go full throttle. So Tarav was at his very best giving us tips. (See Pics below)


So after hours of practice, I finally hit a shot which made Tarav proud. Got a great swing and the sound of the driver hitting the ball was just like a bullet shot as proclaimed by Eddie.
Finally i got the swing right. But my left foot is pointing towards the Flag. A pro golfer would know what i am talking about so i wont talk much about my flaws. We will always improve with time. That's the true essence of Life i feel.


However Eddie the Ogre was playing the fool and made Tarav quite irate. So he gets a thumbs down from the PRO.

However the Giant has pledged that in the near future he would take the game more seriously. Eddie has always been that kind of a guy. When u see him first you get scared by his tall frame. But when u get to know him you would know that he is no Goliath. He is fun and chilled out.







Therefore after a successful day at the Golf Course the boys head out for a drink. Look at the joy on Eddie's face as soon as we packed up and left for a drink. But i know the Gentle Giant will be back again.
